I just got back to classroom 5 (the current semester 3 hangout/study facility) from a short break at the bookstore where I breezed in as if I owned the place (i'm there often enough), slipped behind the counter (because I can) and whipped up some hot cocoa (and a cappuccino for Justin, who is studying while I browse the internet...and procrastinate chronicling our vacation) and I must admit, I'm a little overwhelmed at the task at hand.
My creative juices are not at their highest and I'm going to blame it on the fact that in the past 7 days we've been back, I've worked 6 at the bookstore AND somehow managed to unpack (mostly) our clothes/belongings into our new apartment. As you can imagine that does not leave much time for sleeping. Additionally, our new bedroom window faces east and brightens (i.e. HEATS) our bedroom so nicely that by 8:30 I consider turning on the a/c and then just get up and take a cold shower. Admit it, you're jealous.
So, in continuing with the trend, let's not talk about the dozens of blogs I have on my list to do justice to the awesome vacation I just had, and let me tell you about us (which is why you are reading this anyway, right?).
Justin has finished his first week of third semester and on Monday, he gets his first taste of being a doctor (med school style) with an introduction to clinical medicine, which means dressing up (shirt and tie, socks and shoes) in the heat. Also on Monday, I get my first taste of being a PE coach as I am subbing at the day school. Sounds like we'll both be sweating, but what else is new?
