Meg's visit

 It finally happened! Jonah asked to hold Griffin. He did a great job and has asked several times since.

 Our next door neighbor Jennifer gave Jonah this shirt. He took right to her and loves to give her hugs and sit in her lap. We've been trying to get Jonah to smile for the camera but he won't always do it. I took about 10 pictures to get this one.

 My cousin Meg came and stayed a couple nights with us and we had a blast! Jonah wouldn't smile for the picture,and the best one we got it looks like he's picking his nose!

By the end of her visit he was her new best friend but still wouldn't smile for the camera!

We went to the splash pad at the park and played golf in the yard (golf is Jonah's newest favorite game to play outside). Jonah loved all of the attention from Meg!

Griffin loves Meg too - she got him to give a great smile for the camera. He's been smiling for a while but I've had the hardest time catching it on camera. Tomorrow he'll be two months old!

Tummy Time!

This week

We opened up the rubber duck bath tub we were given as a baby shower gift for Jonah and turned it into a mini swimming pool. Combined with a sprinkler, Jonah is finding fun ways to stay cool.

We've been making good use of our deck, eating breakfast and sometimes lunch outside.

 Jonah, Griffin, and I went to Dallas for a mini-reunion with Ross at Sara's house. Ross is spending the summer here before moving to Wisconsin for grad school.
 Uncle Ross was a sport and spent the day at the flight museum with three kids under the age of 2.5 and still had the energy to take them to the pool that evening!

 Jonah and Harper loved pretending to fly the planes.

 Jonah had a blast at the pool. He pushed Harper around the kiddie pool, and really wanted to jump off the diving board.

They are starting to warm up to each other. Harper is sweet and wants to play with Jonah. They had their first tea party together.

Griffin did his snuggly thing. He'll be big enough to join in and ruin the fun soon!

We had a blast and are glad to be so close to cousin Harper!

Griffin is 1 month old

Actually now he's one month and 4 days, but the picture was taken on the 29th of June.

Griffin is such a sweet baby! He's awake for a little longer now and is starting to get more attention from his big brother.  Jonah likes to pretend Griffin is a baby velociraptor who just hatched out of an egg - "he's so TINY!" Griffin is a good sport and plays along making baby velociraptor noises. Then he falls back asleep.
