Social Butterflies

Our first week in Baltimore was surprisingly eventful. We moved into the apartment on Monday and settled in. My dad was in the area on a business trip and Tuesday night he took us out for steak in Ellicott City. It was so great to see him, and way too short of a visit. I tried my first Maryland crabcake and am addicted. Wednesday was my first day of work (!) and so far I'm really enjoying it. Thursday we met Leslie and Shapour for indian food downtown. We hadn't seen them since they left Dominica in December and had the best time visiting with them. Shapour has been doing rotations in Baltimore and gave us some great advice. Unfortunately, he's moving up to NYC to finish up rotations.

Having the t.v. on the floor where she can get as close as she wants!

So we're all moved into our cute little apartment, and when I say little I mean it is bigger than we imagined. We were worried that we'd have to rent a storage until to fit all our odds and ends (lovingly collected over the past quarter century).



Luckily we have the second bedroom for that!

We do really like it though, despite the weather being completely uninviting to our plans of exploring the city.

Speaking of city streets and directions, we're also now in the market for a GPS to navigate our way through this next adventure of ours.

Ready or Not...

Baltimore here we come!
In a whirlwind that has been the past week, Justin and I drove to Baltimore so I could interview for a job. While we were in the area, we looked at apartments and had a wonderful visit with my Aunt and Uncle who live nearby. On Monday I was offered the position, so we're packing up and heading out this weekend so I can start on Wednesday! We're excited to begin another adventure, but we'll miss the easy life and beautiful weather in Saginaw.

This is it...

Tomorrow is the big day: The United States Medical Liscensing Exam Step 1.
Eight hours and 350 questions are all that stand between Justin and clinical clerkships.

Labor of Love

With only one more week before Justin takes the step, he celebrated Labor day in the company of his review books :(





Sadie was not impressed. But I am. This is truly a labor of love for Justin an I am so proud of his dedication to his studies. I know he's going to do great on his test!
