26 inches of snow looks pretty, right?
The snow blocking the cars to either side of him was piled in front of his spot. He can look forward to a few study breaks when he comes home this weekend! So here's what it looked like Sunday morning after it stopped snowing. Yes, that's the Matrix hiding under there!

And here it is Monday afternoon. There is still a little snow underneath that I hope doesn't keep me from going anywhere, but school's been cancelled until Thursday so I don't really have big plans. I do have an appointment tomorrow, but the clinic is only 5 minutes away and I need to restock on groceries anyway so I guess that will be a good reason to get out of the house.

While not as exciting as a Dominica story, it's the best I can do until baby Skweres arrives!
So on Sunday I zipped up my coat (hoping that I looked pregnant enough in it to gain some sympathy) and Sadie and I went to take the trash out really hoping to bump into a neighbor who would offer to shovel me out. In front there were some neighborhood boys with shovels and I thought - perfect! So I asked them if they were making any money shoveling out cars and if they minded helping me with mine. Of course they were very eager and started the overwhelming task with a lot of enthusiasm. That ended rather quickly.
It was so tough to stand around and watch the neighbor kid try and shovel out the car. Especially since I knew I could do it in half the time - he was so BAD at it! His Pathetic little mini scoops of snow made it take forever and I'm totally not used to sitting back and watching something so ineffective without saying something! But I tried to be nice, he was sweet and trying to earn some money so I let him do it on his own. I even brought out chips and water after an hour so he could take a break! Fortunately for both of us), my neighbor came home about two hours into it and finished the job (the kid had barely shoveled through half) in 10 minutes!
Hopefully now that my neighbor knows Justin is still out of town he'll help me out on Wednesday when we are expecting another 12 inches of snow!
