38 weeks

how far along? 38 weeks

maternity clothes: it was nice to not have to wear them while I was off this last week, hopefully I can squeeze into them for the next two weeks. really the problem is that the shirts are not quite covering this big belly!

sleep: trying to get as much of it as I can!

best moment this week: Justin coming home :)

movement: this baby is big and strong! I finally felt a kick in my ribs yesterday - i've been waiting for it but he's pretty much stayed low so far. It was pretty powerful!

food cravings: i'm not picky anymore - everything sounds delicious :)

labor signs: starting to feel really uncomfortable - does that count? nothing solid to report though. remember we want this baby to stay in until at least the 26th! (and preferably to not happen at school)

what i miss: mobility. it has to be quite comical for Justin (who hasn't seen me in 6 weeks) to watch me struggle getting in and out of bed and off the couch. It wasn't until I had an audience that I realized just how hard it is to move this baby around!

what i'm looking forward to: finishing up school before my maternity leave starts. school is out again Tuesday (which means we've gone over our snow day total and we'll have to add days to the end of the year - boo!) so I only have 8 days to teach!

weekly wisdom: it doesn't hurt to ask - at least that's what some random guy decided when I was out walking Sadie this weekend. Silly me thought he needed directions when he slowed his car down. I wasn't expecting to hear "hey beautiful, what's your name?" Maybe instead of "junk in the trunk" he's more of a "baby in the belly" type. Either way he didn't find out my name.

milestones: we're almost in the single digit countdown! 10 days until my due date.

So excited for you! Let the countdown begin (not that you haven't started counting down already)! :)

If you're not picky about your food, are you now willing to eat sour cream? Uncle Scott and I want to know! It's getting even more exciting! I showed Uncle Scott your photo. He said, "Hmmm. Looks like she's been eating potato chips!" ;)
We love you.

People can act so weird around pregnant women. We know someone that just thinks pregnant women are the hottest thing around! Those last two weeks are the hardest, and I'm going to say the one thing that I HATED hearing...he'll come when he's ready...ugh, when someone would say that I just wanted to strangle them! Eat whatever you want, sleep as much as you can, and just try to think of and do all the things you won't be able to when you have a baby in your arms.
