36 weeks

•How far along? 36 weeks
•Weight gain/loss: bordering on too much - but there isn't a whole lot I can do about it now :)
•Maternity clothes: starting to get a little short, some of my shirts don't completely hide the elastic waistband "panel" thing.
•Stretch marks: still in the clear on this one...but i'm not counting the teeny tiny one on my belly button ring hole.
•Sleep: Besides my leg cramps I'm still sleeping fine. I only have to get up to use the restroom maybe once a night four times a week. I think it's because when I lay down he snuggles up in my ribs and leaves my bladder alone - during the day is another story!
•Best moment this week: having a normal checkup at the doctor - everything is still looking good! I actually went three weeks between appointments because of my surprise baby shower last week. After my next appointment I'll be going every week!
•Movement: His movement has become very routine - but it never gets old or annoying. He's active in the morning before I get up, again on my commute, and when I'm laying down at night. The doctor said he's head down and most of the movement I feel is up above my navel so it must be his bottom, knees, and feet.
•Food cravings: i'm disaapointed that I still haven't had a craving so intense I had to go get that item right away or else I wouldn't be happy (but I'm sure Justin isn't sad that didn't happen!).
•Labor signs: I had my first real strong braxton-hicks contraction the other night but it was just one. Since then I've noticed lighter ones happening at least once or twice a day - nothing regular or even close to real labor though which is good. This baby needs to hang in there another 4 weeks!
•Belly button in or out: In. I have the most amazingly shallow belly button and at this point I doubt it will pop out but you never know, a lot can happen in 4 weeks.
•What I miss: feeling warm - i'm tired of winter and it snowed 4 inches today when the forecast said the storm was going to stay too far south to effect us. Hopefully Punxsutawney Phil will do me a favor and not see his shadow.
•What I am looking forward to: Friday night is the KD alumnae chapter's 65th anniversary dinner. I'm not looking forward to squeezing into a dress, but the party will be fun.
•Weekly Wisdom: Market yourself for the job you want. On Friday I interviewed a girl for my long term sub position who seemed pretty qualified: Spanish major with teaching experience - sounds perfect, right? Well apparently she tried teaching spanish in a nearby high school last year and only made it 4 months before she quit to go back to school to be an ultrasound tech. Who tells this to a potential employer interviewing you for a similar position?!? My 12 weeks of leave will be almost as long as she taught the first time- how could she possibly stick it out a second time? Not a strong selling point.
•Milestones: We made it to the 9th month!
