Surprise!

Last week Kat called me with some great news - she's adopting a dog! Nelson is a four year old lab / pit bull mix she and Shawn visited earlier in the week and fell in love with. Of course I was so excited for her we made plans for me to come over on Sunday and see the dog and then go shopping for Nelson and the baby (the PetSmart is next door to the BabiesRUs).

Little did I know when I arrived Sunday, Nelson was not the only reason for me to come over!

Kat and Jackie had put together a surprise baby shower for me!
It was very overwhelming and touching to see so many friends from Kappa Delta and my bookclub ready to celebrate Baby Skweres.

Baby and I are so thankful for the great gifts we received. Kat decorated the living room with balloons, streamers - the works and Jackie did an awesome job decorating the cake. The whole afternoon was so much fun.
