Ice capades

Last week's snow storm turned pretty ugly when it was followed by a lot of ice.

Sadie was very sad to find that her tennis ball was half buried in the ice. Everyday she would go outside and sniff and paw at the ball to see if it would come out. Then she was forced to skid down the slight incline for the first couple days and walk along the fence line to go to the bathroom. She would try her hardest to run back up the slope to the porch and I'd have to grab her and pull her in before she started sliding back down. It isn't even that steep, the ice was just so thick! It took over a week of temperatures barely breaking freezing for the ice to melt.
