One of Justin's attending doctors invited the first and second year residents out to dinner on Saturday. We went to a chinese restaurant and ate sushi and peking duck. Jonah ate all of his kids menu sweet and sour shrimp so the doctor ordered him a second one and he almost finished it. Griffin only liked the chicken mixture for the lettuce wraps.
After dinner there was a celebration cake and then we took the boys home and left them with a babysitter so we could attend part two of the party.
Part two consisted of dessert, coffe, and karaoke at the Doctor's house. They have a great set up with a super fancy machine that gives you a score after you sing and microphones that you key in your song choice with. And a song list that was way too long. We got a little competitive after scoring a 98 with our duet of The Gambler by Kenny Rogers. So we went for the triple digit score and I let Justin pick a song.
Ms. Jackson by Outcast wasn't exactly the type of song everyone else was singing that night but we totally rocked it (and somehow managed to keep up with the fast paced rap lyrics I haven't heard in a long time) and scored the only 100 that night. We were awarded dollar sign necklaces - totally appropriate given the winning song and here's our accompanying gangsta pose:

The whole night was so much fun. Our encore somehow turned into us each doing a solo so I picked what I thought would be a silly romantic song - The power of Love by Celine Dion. Let's just say it got pretty intense and we ended up letting Justin off the hook (there was no way he could top that!). Now we just have to defend our title next time we get together.
