At Jonah's first Doctor's appointment we met the very friendly nurse receptionist. She was so impressed with Jonah's unique last name, I really think she was under the impression we came up with it ourselves!
me: "We have an appointment, last name Skweres s-k-w-e-r-e-s"
nurse: Skwere, I like that! hello Mr. Skwere (she really left off the s at the end). You know that's unique, I'm going to remember that - Mr. Skwere.
little girl sitting nearby: My name is Tyeesha.
nurse: Honey i'm not going to remember that. That's a normal name!
Mr. Skwere is back up past birthweight at two week appointment - 7lb 5oz!

That gave me a good laugh. I guess because people still pronounce my last name "Rose" or "Rosey".
All names are kind of funny! I remember a post office employee commenting on how much she liked my name. I jokingly told her that I married Scott because I liked his last name. I'm pretty sure that she believed me.
